Midwest fights a losing battle.

Last thursday the state of Mississippi Floode with water. A lot of houses were torn off their foundation, while houses were flooding down the river. Also, the farms were in water too. The farmers and many people were hurt alot. In a few words the city is under water.

The people of Mississippi were working together to put dand bags around the city. The national Guard troops came to help the people to giving food and water, also asand bags to protect their houses. The ring has killed 24 persons and has injured 148, persons. Six states have been forced to evacuate their homes.

President Bush arrived in lowa with federal emergency Management agency. Bush has visited the areas affect from the rain. And he said " Our hearts and prayers, from around the nation, goes out to people here. " ( Richard Fausset and Jenny Jarvie pg. 8A )
